What To Expect

Tarpon Marine Services prides itself on the customer service and attention to detail they provide. Below you will find what can be expected when you arrive to the TMS yard and the process of getting your vessel hauled and blocked. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to one of the TMS staff and they will be happy to answer any questions. Your vessel is in good hands at Tarpon Marine Services

Arrival

01

Arrival

Upon arriving at Tarpon Marine Services, the vessel will tie up at one of our docks. Crew will be met by our team to assist with docking. Dock Lines will then be swapped for TMS' lines and instructions will be given on the haul out procedure. At that point all unnecessary crew will disembark and wait in our Captain's Quarters overlooking our haul out basin.

02

Haul Out

Based on the pick plan discussed at the dock, the captain and line tenders will proceed into the basin and lines will be thrown to the lift crew, at which point the vessel will be positioned for haul out. The Crew will then disembark, and the vessel will be hauled. If owners or crew wish to inspect the vessel bottom, they will have an opportunity to do so once the vessel clears the basin and the lift is powered down.

03

Blocking

Once the vessel is moved into position the blocking will proceed. The vessel is blocked on the keel line first and then stands are placed where needed. Once that is completed the shore power is connected and cooling towers are installed (if requested). Once all this has occurred then work will commence on the vessel.

04

Splash Time

Once all work has been completed and payment and paperwork completed then the vessel is ready to be placed back in the water. The crew can watch the whole procedure from the Captain's Quarters and when the lift crew gives the okay, the crew can then reboard the vessel. When straps are lowered and the captain is given the go-ahead the vessel can back out and be on its way.
